As a dedicated Girl Scout and creative reader, she balances her passions while dreaming of becoming a teacher or zookeeper. At only 12 years old, Lydia Jacobs-Stagner is already managing her own baking and vending machine businesses while honing her craft on stage at Greenwood Little Theatre. From cookies to cheesecakes and croissants, Lydia’s MiniBakery delights customers, and her vending machine at the Mississippi Delta Community College Greenwood Center is always stocked with student favorites. With her unwavering drive and creativity, Lydia is an inspiration to young entrepreneurs everywhere.

“We will deeply miss our friends in Greenwood,” Jon Peede said Wednesday. “Nancy has treasured her time as a volunteer at the Community Food Pantry and Greenwood Community Center, and I have loved serving on the Greenwood Little Theatre board. And our spiritual lives have been enriched by the First Presbyterian and Nativity congregations.”

The cost to sponsor a princess sculpture is $2,000. Half of that will go toward the purchase of the figure from the cultural exchange commission, and the other half will be used by GLT to continue its improvements at Davis School Auditorium, where its productions are held.
