Spotlight on Liliana Morse: Greenwood Little Theatre's Young Star

The Greenwood Little Theatre is home to budding talent, and Liliana Morse is a shining example of that. At only nine years old, this fourth grader from Bankston Elementary dazzled audiences as Bombalurina, the bookstore cat, in our recent production of The Enchanted Bookshop.

Liliana, the daughter of Dr. Ed and Karen Morse, adores animals, especially cats. With six feline friends at home (Chester, Wilson, Ellington, Iris, Bear, and Tuesday), her passion shines through in her role as Bombalurina. She took her performance seriously, practicing her distinctive cat-like meows and hisses offstage until she had them down perfectly. Her mother noticed her dedication to the role and said she gave it her all.

When asked about her experience playing Bombalurina, Liliana expressed joy. "I had fun. Meeting the people, and the costume was fun, and just the practicing was fun," she said. Now that the play is over, she admits that she's looking for new activities to fill her after-school hours.

Liliana is a lively personality on and off the stage. She's an avid Girl Scout who enjoys drawing, especially dragons, and loves to watch TV shows like America’s Got Talent and Family Feud. Her creative spirit extends to reading; she's a big fan of the Percy Jackson series, with The Mark of Athena as her favorite book.

Balancing her creative pursuits with family life, Liliana enjoys being the big sister to her twin brothers, Christopher and David. Though she finds the role challenging, she cherishes having siblings who always have her back.

Looking to the future, Liliana has ambitious dreams of becoming a teacher or zookeeper. Her imaginative mind even came up with a concept for an invention: a machine that could produce an infinite supply of any item placed inside.

At the Greenwood Little Theatre, we're thrilled to provide young talents like Liliana with a platform to explore and nurture their love for the arts. Keep shining, Liliana, and we can't wait to see you in future productions!
