Greenwood Little Theatre’s upcoming production is the telling — or more so the singing — of the American experience.

Greenwood Little Theatre is gearing up to present “the perfect date-night play.”

This summer, the Greenwood Shakespeare Project will once again collaborate with ArtPlace Mississippi and Greenwood Little Theatre to present the Fourth Annual Shakespeare Summer Camp for youth. 

There is still time to be part of this entertaining and moving musical at the GLT! Seeking singers of any age, race, and gender for our choral ensemble.

Greenwood Little Theatre’s upcoming production is sure to bring holiday cheer, laughs and fun for the whole family.

“Linda’s life was a testament to giving. She was a tireless supporter of the theater. She volunteered with the museum and Altrusa and did a lot of work for her church, but she worked countless hours at GLT to make sure that everyone had what they needed.”

Greenwood Little Theatre premieres Our Town on Thursday night at 7pm. The play is about a small town, and the people who live in it.

“Our Town” is about living in a community and living in a family and the moments that make up a life, says director Steve Iwanski.

Auditions will take place at the theater from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The production dates are Oct. 11 to 14.

For young people in the Mississippi Delta, there are opportunities to “blossom” and discover expressive outlets through the performing arts.

“They call themselves the Shakespeare family,” said Steve Iwanski, who leads the Greenwood Shakespeare Project.
