Meet Cece Splaingard: Greenwood Little Theatre’s Triple-Role Star with a Flair for Fun!

Photo by Johnny Jennings for Leflore Illustrated

At just 6 years old, Cece Splaingard is stealing the spotlight in Greenwood Little Theatre’s The Wizard of Oz—playing three roles: a cheerful Munchkin, a sleepy Poppy, and a mischievous Flying Monkey. “I get to grab Scarecrow!” she says with a grin.

Science Whiz & Stage Pro

When she’s not dazzling audiences, Cece (a Bankston Elementary first grader) wins science fairs (her yogurt experiment took top honors) and sells Girl Scout cookies like a pro. Offstage, she’s mastering Mario Kart races, snacking on fudgesicles, and dreaming up inventions (“a lab to mix exploding potions!”).

Summer Dreams & Big Ideas

Cece can’t wait for summer raspberry-picking at her family’s Pennsylvania Campmeeting. Her wish for Greenwood? “An Urban Air and movie theater!”
