Join the Orchestra for Greenwood Little Theatre's Production of The Wizard of Oz!
Greenwood Little Theatre is gearing up for an exciting musical production of The Wizard of Oz (RSC Version) in June 2025, and we need your talent to help bring this classic show to life!
If you’re a musician looking for a unique and rewarding experience, we’d love to have you join our orchestra. We’re seeking musicians for a wide range of instruments to help recreate the unforgettable music that accompanies Dorothy’s journey down the Yellow Brick Road.
Performance Dates:
June 5, 6, 7, and 8, 2025
Rehearsals:
Rehearsals will begin in May 2025. Specific dates and times will be shared closer to the performances.
We Are Looking for Musicians for the Following Instruments:
Flute – Doubles Piccolo & Recorder
Oboe – Doubles Cor Anglais
Clarinet
Bass Clarinet
Alto Saxophone
Tenor Saxophone
Baritone Saxophone
Horn
Trumpet
Trombone – Doubles Tuba for one special number
Harp
Percussion 1 – Timpani, Xylophone, Chimes, and various other fun and spooky sound effects
Percussion 2 – Drum Set, Cymbals, and more
Strings – Violin 1 (4 players), Violin 2 (2 players), Viola (2 players), Cello (2 players), Bass
String Synthesizer – Optional part that substitutes for multiple string sections
This is an incredible opportunity to play in an orchestra alongside talented musicians from the region while being a key part of a timeless musical production.
