This year’s Christmas Pageant will be like none in the past when the rowdy and rambunctious Herdmans, lured by the prospect of free sweets, just happen to arrive at the church on casting day for the pageant. Displaying bad manners and a total lack of religious knowledge they manage to take over all the major roles in the upcoming pageant. The Herdman kids have their own ideas about the manger, the wise men, and the baby Jesus. Needless to say these kids wreak havoc on the show, scaring off other cast members, offending the congregants and even setting fire to the church. But one way or another, the Herdman herd is determined to put on The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.
